Situated just off the A505 near Royston, Litlington is a small North Hertfordshire village, separated from its near neighbour Bassingbourn by an ancient fieldway. The remains of a Roman villa have been discovered and excavated just west of the village.
The village has rather a winding layout, with its church, St Catherine’s, which dates back to the 12th Century, standing opposite the only public house in Litlington, the Crown. It also has a shop and post office as well as recreation grounds and a village hall.
