About Steeple Morden

Situated in the heart of the South Cambridgeshire countryside, Steeple Morden is a charming village with a traditional mix of period architecture blending effortlessly with more modern style. Another winding-style layout like a lot of its neighbours, Steeple Morden boasts its own cricket pitch and pavilion, football pitches, tennis courts, village hall and bowling green. There is also a public house, The Waggon and Horses, which sits opposite the church of St Peter & St Paul, which has one of the few south porch towers in Cambridgeshire.

Like a lot of the surrounding countryside, Steeple Morden played its part in World War II with the provision of an airfield, constructed in 1939 and used extensively throughout the war for allied flying missions. recently renovated South Farm estate, boasting listed buildings and its own nature reserve, offers a Cambridgeshire countryside venue for weddings and other public and corporate events.
