About Great Chishill
The village of Great Chishill has a commanding view over the undulating South Cambridgeshire farming country which surrounds it and its near neighbour, Heydon.
The imposing St Swithun’s church, dating back to the twelfth century, is perched on the hill in the centre of the village, just up the lane from the old Chishill windmill, still open to the public at selected times. The village also boasts a nice pub, The Pheasant, with a large garden and grounds overlooking the recreation area and cricket pitch, as well as a series of walks around the surrounding countryside.
